March 19, 2026 – Meixin successfully provided an intelligent comprehensive solution for a large paper machine owned by  China Hongxiang Paper Mill. The paper machine has a paper width of 6000mm and operates at a speed of up to 1,000 meters per minute. Meixin supplied the project with a dryer fabric cleaning system, awater jet reel turn-up system, and water jet tail cutter for dry end, comprehensively improving the paper machine's operational efficiency, paper quality, and production safety.

1. Dryer Fabric Cleaning System

Meixin deployed the PF·Clean intelligent dryer fabric cleaning system. The system is equipped with high-efficiency cleaning heads installed in the wrap angle area between the dryer fabric and guide rolls, maintaining a reasonable gap from the fabric. High-pressure water nozzles spray the fabric surface at a specific angle to loosen and detach adhesive contaminants. Front and rear air knives assist by blowing off the contaminants, while a vacuum extraction and discharge system removes them outside the paper machine. An external air knife thoroughly removes residual moisture after cleaning.

2. Water Jet Reel Turn-up System

Meixin's high-pressure water jet reel turn-up system has its beam installed above the reel. An ultra-high-pressure water generation system produces high-pressure water, which is ejected as high-quality cutting water jets through ultra-high-pressure nozzles. The reel change beam is equipped with two sets of cutting water jet heads. The water jets move at high speed to cut a paper tip while spraying an appropriate amount of adhesive, allowing the paper tip to quickly adhere to the new reel spool, thereby spreading the full width of the paper web and achieving high-quality reel change.

3. Water Jet Tail Cutter for dry end  

Meixin's water jet tail cutter for dry end features trim and stable edge cutting, safe and reliable tail threading, electric automatic positioning, safe and reliable operation, and smooth and stable paper threading. The system uses high-pressure water jet cutting, meeting the stringent tail threading requirements of high-speed paper machines. When full-width sheet spreading is required, a high-precision moving carriage carrying the water jet nozzle moves to the outside of the paper web to complete tail threading and sheet spreading.

Meixin's dryer section tail threading water jet replaces traditional mechanical cutting with a high-pressure water jet, delivering neat cutting without paper scraps. Combined with a paper stabilizing air plate and a high-precision moving carriage, it maximizes tail threading success rate and reduces operational risks.

The three systems provided by Meixin for China Hongxiang Paper Mill– dryer fabric cleaning, water jet reel turn-up system, and water jet tail cutter for dry end – cover key processes from the dryer section and tail threading to the reel-up section.
