Meixin has recently provided comprehensive paper machine optimization services for a core paper machine owned by China Dongtai Paper Mill. This paper machine has a width of 4400mm, operates at a speed of 400 meters per minute, and primarily produces corrugated medium and linerboard with a basis weight ranging from 80 to 180 g/m². Meixin has deployed five major systems for this project: dryer fabric cleaner, wire and press felt cleaner, vacuum roller cleaner, ropeless tail threading, and paper tape reel turn up, helping the customer improve operational efficiency and product quality.

1. Dryer Fabric Cleaner

Function:
Meixin's PF·Clean intelligent dryer fabric online cleaning system has played a key role on Dongtai Paper's machine. The system is equipped with a high-efficiency cleaning head installed in the wrap angle area between the dryer fabric and guide roll, maintaining a precise gap with the fabric. The high-pressure water nozzles inside the cleaning head spray the fabric surface at a specific angle, loosening and removing contaminants such as adhesives. The front and rear air knives assist in blowing away contaminants, while the vacuum extraction system discharges impurities completely out of the machine. The external air knife further removes residual moisture.

2. Wire and Press Felt Cleaner

Function:
Meixin's intelligent wire and press felt online cleaning system uses high-performance filtered water supplied by a high-pressure water pump station. The online cleaning unit is equipped with a high-efficiency cleaning head that traverses across the fabric width. The cleaning head's movement is controlled by a PLC with parameter settings via a visual touchscreen. The cleaning head sprays high-pressure water at a precise angle onto the paper machine fabric, ensuring uniform cleaning results.

5. Paper Tape Reel Turn-up System

Function:
Meixin paper tape reel turn up equipment is composed of four parts: PLC control cabinet, air control cabinet, paper breaking tape box, and automatic paper changing beam. The smart control box and pressure control air box are connected through the power interface. The equipment is equipped with a paper tape transmission device. The paper tape is picked up from the carton and transmitted to the standby position of reel turn up equipment through the track. When the reel turn up signal is received, the paper tape extends from the standby position and is transferred to the new reeling roller. At the same time, the sensor is operated to synchronise the transfer of the sheets to the new roll and the automatic roll change is successfully completed. The reel turn up can be finished instantly, the operation is safe. It saves time, effort and labor, and reduces paper waste.
