Sepember 10, 2024-Meixin successfully delivered a complete set of intelligent cleaning and tail threading solutions for the main paper machine of China Fulin Paper Co., Ltd. This paper machine has a paper width of 4800mm, an operating speed of 700 meters per minute, and mainly produces high-quality corrugated paper with a basis weight of 65-80 g/m². Based on the characteristics of this paper machine, Meixin provided systematic technical equipment including dryer fabric cleaner, wire and press felt cleaner, vacuum roller cleaner, water jet reel turn up system, and dry end tail cutter, helping customers improve operational efficiency and finished paper quality.
1. Dryer Fabric Cleaner
Function:
Meixin equipped this paper machine with the PF·Clean intelligent online dryer fabric cleaning system. The cleaning head is precisely installed in the wrap angle area between the dryer fabric and the guide roll, maintaining a constant gap from the fabric surface. High-pressure water nozzles spray at a specific angle to loosen and detach contaminants such as adhesives from the fabric surface. This is assisted by front and rear air knives blowing, along with a vacuum extraction and slag discharge system that completely removes contaminants from the paper machine. An external air knife further removes residual moisture.

This solution achieves online cleaning without stopping the machine, requires no chemical additives, and is environmentally friendly. It effectively improves and maintains dryer fabric permeability, significantly enhancing drying efficiency. At the same time, it eliminates paper web breaks, grooves, press marks, and holes caused by dirty dryer fabrics, reduces rewinder breaks, significantly improves production efficiency, and helps increase machine speed and extend dryer fabric life.

2. Wire and Press Felt Cleaner
Function:
The Meixin intelligent online cleaning system uses high-performance filtered clean water, which generates high-pressure water via a high-pressure water pump station. The cleaning head traverses across the fabric width under PLC control, with parameters conveniently set via a touchscreen. High-pressure water is sprayed at a precise angle onto the paper machine fabric to achieve deep cleaning.

The system offers significant water and electricity savings, reducing or completely eliminating the need for chemical cleaning. It thoroughly solves the problems of uneven water distribution caused by local nozzle blockages in traditional spray pipes as well as fabric cleaning streaks. Paper machine runnability and dewatering performance are significantly improved, helping to increase machine speed, reduce web breaks in the wire and press felt sections, and effectively lower water mist in these sections. Nozzle maintenance requires no machine shutdown and is convenient and efficient.

3. Vacuum Roller Cleaner
Function and Benefits: To address the problem of plugged vacuum roller holes, Meixin provides an online vacuum roller cleaning system that continuously cleans vacuum roller holes during normal paper machine operation, reducing plugging and keeping the roll surface clean. This system significantly improves wet end operational stability, maintains the original operating performance of the vaxuum roller, avoids web breaks and shutdown maintenance caused by plugged holes, thereby improving paper machine operating efficiency and production output.

4. Water Jet Reel Turn Up System
Function:
The Meixin high-pressure water jet reel turn up system's beam is installed on the upper part of the reel. An ultra-high-pressure water generation system produces high-pressure water, which is ejected through ultra-high-pressure nozzles to form a high-quality cutting water jet. The transfer beam is equipped with two sets of water jet cutting heads, which move at high speed to cut a paper tip while simultaneously spraying an appropriate amount of adhesive onto the tip. The tip is precisely adhered to the new reel spool, achieving high-quality transfer across the full paper width.

The system adopts fully automatic transfer, completely eliminating the risk of operator entanglement and injury, and is extremely easy to operate. The transfer process is fast and smooth, the new reel spool has no bottom wrinkles, and virtually no waste paper is generated. The transfer success rate approaches 100%, effectively improving the finished paper yield by 0.5%–3%. This solution is suitable for various paper grades including corrugated paper, kraft paper, linerboard, whiteboard, coated whiteboard, newsprint, fine paper, and tissue paper, and is compatible with almost all paper machine speeds.

5. Dry End Tail Cutter
Function and Benefits: The system provided by Meixin achieves neat edge cutting and stable tail threading. Electric automatic positioning makes operation convenient and labor-saving, and it is equipped with a movable handwheel that supports both manual and electric horizontal movement. The trolley runs stably, and tail cutting is stable, meeting the requirements of tail threading for high-speed paper machines. The cutting edge is neat with no flying paper scraps, and overall operation is safe and reliable.
